Dai Ko Myo

The final symbol in the original quartet is pronounced Dai Ko Myo and is known as the Master Symbol. Its origins are believed to be Zen Buddhist signifying, ‘the radiant light of wisdom’, but unlike the previous three symbols it is only given during attunement. It is not just sacred to Reiki either. In Japan, it is revered as the universal healing symbol and in the Johrei Fellowship, which works with the masculine ray as opposed to the feminine Reiki ray, it appears as part of the symbol on the Goshintai, their sacred scroll. Its earliest appearance can be traced back to before the 8th Century as the symbol appears in a Zen Buddhist mantra, the whole of which reads, ‘Shiken Haramitsu Daikomyo’, ‘the wisdom of the four hearts leads to enlightenment’. To hold the energy of this symbol within our aura is a commitment to walking the path of Mastery. To be a Master of Reiki, requires us to be the Master of our Self, within all realities, to facilitate the experience of our highest possible timeline and to radiate the highest frequency of light. It is a call to Ascend. It is a call to become Bodhisattva ourselves. It is why we are here.

To walk this path requires a dedication of our hearts, the abdication of our minds and a release of attachment to everything and everyone from our current Now. And it begins and ends with our Selves. There are many stories we have told ourselves to answer the question of why we are here, all of which have both served to cloud and clarify all the answers that such a question brings. With the help of the Cho Ku Rey we have learnt that asking this and other questions with intention, focussing our Power and facing our fears, will lead to greater insight and also opens the door to other questions such as, why we are? Working our way through all our ego-related issues with the guidance of the Say Hey Key, also widens our perspective as does releasing our attachment to linear time, as the Hon Sha Za Sho Nen asks us to do. We have seen how the teachings of each interweave within each other leading us into deeper and more profound insights. The Master symbol continues this work by both becoming the beginning and ending of our journey, for while we talk of walking the path to enlightenment, it is actually a journey to standing still with oneself, in many times and many places, to complete the work of standing still with all of ones selves in one Now. Mastery is both an eternal acceptance and constant flux of renewal of who we are as we dissolve our illusion of internal polarity to return to/manifest Unity Consciousness.

With the Say Hay Key symbol, it was the Love and acceptance of myself that I felt, that enabled me to look within myself honestly and not to flinch and run away at what I found. The story that I took as my guide was the one of the Ego as inner child as this allowed me to find my compassion for myself. It was also one of my many lessons in contradiction from the Master symbol – to achieve Unity for myself, I first had to consciously separate out my Ego from who I thought I was. From this, I was able to write further chapters in my story as I traced my personal development through the Egoic stages – existing in fear and reacting, to then observing and learning to respond and then through to seeing how releasing my attachment to Ego would then embrace and heal it into my wholeness. The Master symbol then led me to evolve my perception further by viewing the Ego in a different guise, this time wearing the character of my lower elemental self. It was a different way of perceiving the Ego that I was introduced to through a meditation written and guided by Steven Noble. It was a big wake-up call and in the kindest of ways. Our Egos are birthing our Higher Selves into this Now and I realised how frustrated we both had been by constantly casting her into the role of a recalcitrant child, which had then kept all my selves trapped. As we have moved backwards and forwards between dimensional densities I have realised that my Ego is a Master of the Third dimension and has no wish for her Higher Self Child to remain within that frequency as she knows that we have learnt all that we will ever need to know about Fear and all its consequences. She is tired of the pain and the suffering and is willing to release her attachments to it. What she does not remember is how to exist within a higher frequency, but her child does, and she wishes to be taught by her. As I journey with Mastery, I stop and stand still, and I can see and accept that the roles of Higher Self and Ego have been experiencing a reversal of the only pattern that I had allowed until this Now. I have now seen and am now accepting that I have always placed the Higher Self in the role of Teacher, and the Ego in the role of student. Despite multiple hints from the Universe about the best teachers being the ones that allow themselves to be students, I never quite made the leap to applying this to my Ego/Higher Self relationship. Now that I have, I can see the internal contradiction in that pattern, as I had manifested an Egoic pattern that did not stem from the Egoic self. The Ego exists within the Higher Self as the Higher Self does within the Ego; they are already unified in the same Now that they exist in, in separation. To allow the experience of Separation Consciousness, the Soul birthed the Ego that carried the seed of a Higher Self that would remember the Soul and its wisdom, as the 3rd dimension does not vibrate at a high enough frequency to support Ascended realities. The Egos task was to raise its vibration and ascend the 3rd dimension in order to birth in turn, the Higher Self. In effect, the parent birthed the child that would rebirth an echo of the Parent within a new evolved state.

To understand this, we first have to understand a little about dimensional capabilities. Before the big experiment in Separation Consciousness, Ascension could be described as linear. It wasn’t, but compared to the path of Ascension that exists NOW, it feels like that in comparison! There were 12 dimensions within the Universe and as our I AM presence ascended through each one we vibrated at higher and higher frequencies until we hit the ceiling, as it were. An idea of ‘Re-Ascension’ was created and the call for volunteers went out. As an Ascended Soul we were asked to re-ascend from a 3rd dimensional reality. In order to do this we sundered our soul into a being without any memory or awareness of who we truly were. We separated. And didn’t. Just like our maternal Grandmothers who carry our seed within the womb of our Mothers, the seed of the Higher Self was carried within the Ego until such a NOW became possible to birth it anew within a reality where the vibration was high enough to support it. Re-Ascension has multiplied exponentially the dimensional possibilities. Each one of the original 12 dimensions has now squared itself and 144 dimensions now exist in potential in each one. If we had not seeded a Higher Self with a remembrance of the original Soul within our Lower Egoic Selves, then the original sundering would have been permanent. The Soul that birthed the Ego would not have had the experience of Separation implicit within itself, only an awareness based on observation. It needed to be a complete experience. As it is, every pain and trauma that the Ego has experienced, the Higher Self has felt and experienced too and it has been transformative in unexpected ways.

In my last post, A Message from the Council of Light, I touched briefly upon the Original Grief that we all carry within our emotional bodies. To quickly re-state, Original Grief is the grief resulting from the original separation. Not just the sundering of the Soul into the Higher Self and Ego, but the grief of saying goodbye to who we had become on a Soul level. The Soul that encompassed both our Higher Self and Ego does not exist in our re-ascended reality. The wisdom and memory remains, when we choose to look for it, but this experience has been too transformative for the Old Soul to survive in its original state. The Old Soul was the caterpillar, the 3rd dimension the Chrysalis, and the birthing of the Higher Self from the Ego to become One is the butterfly. We are not who we were. We are different now, with different capabilities and we will never be that Soul again. We evolved our Soul and in doing so we evolved Love, to the benefit of the entire Universe. Our Egos, that are so often blamed for our every ill, have been Warriors of the Highest Light that have safely carried our Higher Selves through every internal and external war, every plague, every misfortune and every death. It has been reborn into cycles upon cycles of pain, misery and suffering and still carried the seed safely within. It has worked, fought and finally surrendered to reach the NOW that we are experiencing, this re-ascension, and has done so believing itself to be alone and abandoned. Our Egos have done it for Love – for the Love of the child and parent they carry within, the Higher Self. Forgive your Ego, it has done the best it could with what it had at every given time. And its best has enabled the transformation of the whole Universe. Love your Ego, love your whole self and let us all become One.

The Mastery Symbol offers, at first, a painful path as it leads us to our original grief, the source of all our pain but it also offers us the experiences of forgiveness, redemption and Unconditional Love for ourselves as we finally start to understand our journey to standing still. These thoughts on the Master Symbol are my understanding of my own journey, a journey that is ongoing and will offer deeper and deeper insights along the way so this story is by no means finished. Leave the fear behind, for as uncomfortable as the journey sometimes gets, when we stand still with ourselves for long enough we always, always, find Love. The Master Symbol IS Love, in all of its Pure and newly Ascended Light and it teaches us that we don’t have to find ‘home’ again. We carry ‘home’ with us; we always have and always will.
